ABOUT
Amulti award-winning scripted and commercial director, Nathan Christoffel grew up in Byron Bay and established himself in Melbourne for his commercial work with brands such as Mercedes, BMW and Tag Heuer. He founded the full service production company Picture Co in Melbourne in 2015 and now resides on the East Coast of Australia.
Mentored by Academy Award-nominated director Rolf de Heer, Christoffel's early start in feature filmmaking was marked by the 2009 award-winning student feature film, "Eraser Children (2009)," which won Best Australian Film at both the Melbourne Underground Film Festival and Sydney Sci-Fi Film Festival and opened Sci-Fi London.
Currently, Christoffel is based in Queensland and works between commercial and scripted. He is developing a slate of diverse feature films. His next projects include the techno-thriller "Second Skin," slated for production in Queensland, Australia, in 2026, as well as the period piece "1629" and the crime-thriller "Blue Call." These projects showcase his dedication to cinematic storytelling and his ability to navigate diverse genres. This cinematic style can be seen throughout his commercial work where he has directed over 100 commercials from clients around the globe.
